Applicants must be enrolled as full-time high school, undergraduate, or graduate students during some part of the 2011-2012 academic year (fall 2011 and/or spring 2012) and must be at least 18 years of age on or before Saturday, 4 August 2012. Students who turn 18 after 4 August 2012 will NOT be considered for the 2012 Student Volunteers Program.
Students must plan to arrive at the Los Angeles Convention Center no later than 4 pm on Saturday, 4 August 2012 for Student Volunteer Orientation and depart no earlier than Friday, 10 August 2012. Other arrangements for arrival and departure may be made by contacting the Student Volunteers Chair but may disqualify applicants from being accepted unless approved by the Chair in advance.
Student Volunteers must present a current, government-issued photo ID, such as a driver's license or passport upon check in at SIGGRAPH 2012 in order to receive their conference badges and materials.
Applicants MUST be proficient in English, and all applications must be submitted in English.
All students, regardless of discipline or area of interest, are encouraged to apply. No prior experience with the annual SIGGRAPH conference or computer graphics is required. We are looking for reliable, hard-working, self-starting, independent, enthusiastic students who are excited about the conference and who want to be among the next generation of leaders and professionals.
