ACM Student Research Competition

SIGGRAPH 2012 hosts an ACM Student Research Competition, which takes place in two stages. In the first stage, 15 student posters are selected for judging. At the conference, a panel of distinguished judges reviews these 15 posters during the poster sessions and selects five semi-finalists. The semi-final poster authors have five minutes each to present their work to the judges. The three winners will present their work to SIGGRAPH 2012 attendees during the ACM SRC Final Presentation.

For students who are just beginning their research careers, this is an excellent opportunity to learn about the types of research their peers are pursuing. At the end of the presentations, the judges announce the winners, who go on to the nationwide ACM Student Research Competition. To enter the ACM Student Research Competition, please submit a Poster and  check the corresponding box in the submission form when you submit a poster for the General or Late-Breaking Submissions deadline. To be eligible for the ACM Student Research Competition, the submitted work must be largely the work of the submitter.
